UPGRADED FROM Dr.pen M8S MOTORIZED ONE-HAND CONTROL: The M8S required twisting a collar with both hands to change the setting. The M9 replaces that dial with a motorized DEPTH button, so you can adjust with one hand while the other stays free smoother, faster, and far easier for first-time users.
FULL DIGITAL DISPLAY, NOT JUST A SPEED NUMBER: The M8S screen showed the speed level only. The M9's LED panel shows speed, current setting, cartridge status and remaining battery all at once, so you always know exactly how the device is configured before you start no guesswork, no flashing codes to decode.
CHIP-RECOGNITION CARTRIDGE SYSTEM (NEW ON M9): Each genuine Dr. Pen cartridge carries a chip the device reads automatically. A green icon confirms an authorized cartridge is locked in correctly; a red icon reminds you one still needs to be installed. The M8S had no way to verify this an upgrade for confidence and consistency.
NEARLY 2X THE BATTERY + SMART AUTO-STOP BASE: 700mAh vs. the M8S's 380mAh, so the M9 runs much longer per charge, with Type-C charging and clear on-screen power icons. The snap-on smart base adds a convenience the M8S never had: set the pen down and it stops automatically; pick it back up and it resumes exactly where you left off same speed, same setting, no re-adjusting.
